Why do we choose oils instead of lotion?

Many people default to using lotion for skin hydration, but body oils offer unique benefits that make them worth considering. Unlike lotions, which are water-based and can evaporate quickly, body oils create a protective barrier that locks in moisture for deeper, longer-lasting hydration. They are often made from natural, plant-based ingredients rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids, which nourish and protect the skin without the fillers or synthetic additives found in many lotions.

Additionally, high-quality body oils absorb well without leaving a greasy residue, leaving your skin feeling soft and glowing. Applying body oil to your skin right during the day or after a shower help maximize absorption and hydration. Whether dry, sensitive, or oily skin, the body oil suited to most of people needs, making it a versatile and effective choice for daily skin care.

The Best Body Oils for Healthy, Nourished Skin we choose and their benefits

Jojoba oil:

Jojoba oil is a natural oil that closely resembles the skin’s own sebum, making it an excellent moisturizer for all skin types. Because of this similarity, it helps balance oil production by regulating and normalizing oily or acne-prone skin. This makes jojoba oil especially beneficial for those struggling with breakouts or excess shine. In addition to balancing oil, jojoba oil deeply moisturizes without clogging pores.

It penetrates easily, providing lasting hydration and leaving the skin soft and smooth. Its anti-inflammatory properties help soothe redness and sensitivity, making it ideal for irritated or sensitive skin.  Rich in antioxidants, jojoba oil protects the skin from environmental damage and supports healthy aging. Despite its nourishing qualities, it absorbs quickly and does not leave a greasy residue, so skin feels refreshed and comfortable after use.

Jojoba oil also supports skin repair by helping heal minor wounds, dryness, and irritation, promoting a healthy skin barrier. It can be used daily for moisturizing, as a gentle cleanser, or during massage for its soothing and balancing effects.

Olive oil:

Olive oil is a rich, nourishing oil packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and essential fatty acids that help keep skin healthy and radiant. It is especially known for its high content of vitamin E and polyphenols, which protect the skin from environmental damage and support natural repair processes. This oil deeply moisturizes and softens the skin, making it an excellent choice for dry or mature skin types. Its emollient properties help to improve skin elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles over time.

Olive oil also has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial qualities, which can soothe irritated skin and help with minor skin conditions. While it is a heavier oil, it absorbs well when applied in moderation, leaving the skin feeling smooth and hydrated. Regular use of olive oil can enhance your skin’s barrier function, locking in moisture and promoting a healthy, glowing complexion. It’s a versatile addition to skincare routines, whether used alone, in blends, or as part of massage treatments.

Coconut oil:

Coconut oil is a popular natural oil known for its rich moisturizing properties. It contains fatty acids like lauric acid, which help nourish and hydrate the skin deeply. This makes coconut oil especially beneficial for dry and flaky skin, providing long-lasting softness and smoothness.

In addition to moisturizing, coconut oil has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that can help soothe irritated skin and reduce redness. It may also support the healing of minor wounds and protect the skin from environmental stressors.

While coconut oil is heavier than some other oils, it absorbs well when used sparingly. It’s ideal for use in body care routines, massage, or as an overnight moisturizer for extra hydration. Regular use of coconut oil can improve skin texture and maintain a healthy skin barrier, leaving the skin feeling supple and glowing.

Argan Oil:

Argan oil is a natural plant oil extracted from the kernels of the argan tree (Argania spinosa), found primarily in Morocco. Traditionally cold-pressed to preserve its nutrients, argan oil is prized for its rich concentration of vitamin E, essential fatty acids, and antioxidants. Its lightweight, non-greasy texture makes it suitable for all skin types—including dry, oily, and acne-prone skin—providing hydration and nourishment without clogging pores.

Known for its deeply moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties, argan oil helps soothe irritation, reduce redness, and restore the skin’s natural balance. The high content of oleic and linoleic acids helps strengthen the skin barrier and lock in moisture, preventing transepidermal water loss. Antioxidants like vitamin E and polyphenols help protect the skin from environmental damage and premature aging, promoting a smoother, more radiant complexion.

Argan oil is generally safe and well tolerated by most individuals. However, those with certain inflammatory skin conditions, such as seborrheic dermatitis, may experience sensitivity when using oils on the skin. A patch test is recommended before first use, especially for sensitive skin types. Overall, argan oil offers a gentle yet powerful way to support healthy, hydrated skin and is a beneficial addition to both skincare routines and therapeutic massage treatments.

Our recommendation:  Natural body oils can do wonders for your skin — from deep hydration to a healthy, radiant glow. But just like skincare products, it’s always a good idea to try new oils mindfully to see how your skin responds. Trust your skin, go gently, and enjoy discovering what feels best for your body.

Please don’t hesitate to ask our customer service specialist to test the product before your session.

They are always willing to help you to find what type of oil or essential oils you would love to choose for your treatment.
